Hello All
We are just putting the final pieces together for the organisation of the Junior Duathlon to be held at Marbury Park on 7 March 2010.
In order to make the day go as smoothly as possible and in order to ensure that our entrants are competing in a safe environment we will need as many marshals on hand as possible. Even if you can only help out for part of the day that would be appreciated.
The race will begin at 9:30 but we will need people to help out from around 8:00 if at all possible. We expect to have the race wrapped up for around 13:30 and then a bit of tidying up afterwards.
If you are interested and are available to help out let me know by posting here or by dropping me an email (lrac666@hotmail.com). If you can bring along friends and family too that would be great.
Cheers

sorry Carl, Ros has banned me from being in the same location as you and Nick. She says it is too dangerous. |

Help still required......please.....
Latest timing suggests races will be over by around 12.30 so will be all wrapped up a little earlier than initially thought. |

Thanks to all the marshals for your hard work today, much appreciated. Hope there are no adverse reactions such as frost bite from the cold start or sun burn later on.
As I was looking after the bike a special mention to Ian, Louis, Mike, Brett, Nigel, Carl's dad and Rob - sterling effort guys.
I'm also glad a manged to shift a dog away that was seconds from peeing over my coat & rucksack!
Cheers

I would just like to echo what Rob said above.
I hope everyone got a biscuit as they were rather delicious, thanks to Roberts Barkery for that.
If you couldn't get down to help out yesterday, don't worry as there will be another opportunity at the aquathlon in May, hopefully as warm but with a little more warmth (setting up a tent when it is minus 5 degrees is not how I'd choose to spend most sunday mornings!)
Personally though a bit of dog pee on Robs coat would have topped the day off for me
Thanks again

Unfortunatley the deadline for inclusion in the magazine was the wednesday before Easter and the buffoon of a photographer called me asking me to get in touch with the magazine t ogive them details when I called the next day the guy wasn't there and when I finally got in touch we'd missed the deadline.
I suppose the silver lining to the story is the photographer wont get paid for his photos due to his incompetance.
I will speak to the magazine to see whether we can provide our own photos for the next race and get it in that way, anyone know a good photographer?
